It will be interesting to see what you think. Pioneer to me has always been the antithesis of tube tuner sound. Many years ago (about 40 yeeesh I am getting old!) I sold a Mac MX110 to purchase a TX9100 Pioneer that was "the" hot tuner at that time. Great DX'er with a hard bright almost un-listenable sound (and remember I am the guy that can tolerate the Sony XDRF1HD). One of my all time classic bad Audio Moves. Right up there with selling a Marantz 8 to get a Son Of Ampzilla. Sad but true :<}
