It is not hard to do, provided you have the stringing diagram or the cord is intact and you can follow it. If he cut it, he should do it or offer you a discount. You may have to dissassemble to restring. There is radio restringing cord available, but I just used the black fishing line, and it worked. The stringing cord has some elastic in it and would be better.
