I know your post is old, but for what it may be worth to others looking for a MAC MR-66, a nice one with the MX-6 FM multiplex unit sold for just under $1000 on Ebay in July of 2008. I liked the unit very much but was unsure of what it was worth. My maximum bid of $600 got blown into the weeds about 20 minutes before the end of the auction.
I would imagine that the MR-66 is a nice sounding unit. It has classic lines and a chrome faceplate which stands up very nicely over time. The black glass that Mac used on some of their later models seems to bubble in various areas of the faceplate devaluing what are otherwise very nice pieces of gear.
As for the MR-66, the prices at Audioclassics (the premier and most expensive store to purchase Mac gear) ranged from about $1500 for a nice one (although they did not seem to have those in stock) to $299 for one which had dents or oxidation (or perhaps both), and sold AS IS -- meaning that it's probably not even working.
Anyway, best of luck in selling your MR-66 if you have not done so already. It's definitely one of the more interesting tuners that I have seen lately, with the pretty green tuning meters, and shiny chrome chassis. The guy who won his auction on Ebay for the MR-66 with MX 6 multiplex must be in his glory, as they were in really nice condition.
This guy was so determined to have this unit that I think he may have bid it up to over $1500, because it came with the extremely rare MX-6 multiplex -- those are extremely rare and difficult to find -- especially in excellent shape.
