Have you tested for resistance across the leads in your optocouplers?
It could be that either your pilot lamp (neon type) is out or intermittent, or the actual CdS cell or cells inside have become faulty.
Years ago, the owner of L&M Electronics, located in Daly City, CA, developed a little circuit board as a mod for these LDRs.
I do not know anything at all about his circuit or if he still offers this as a service.
I doubt if he sells the part, however, since I believe it to be proprietary from his design standpoint.
Apparently, opening up the originals and substituting fresh CdS cells and a fresh Ne lamp might do you some good.
That is basically what is in them.
