Hello everyone. I might be, (besides Richard) one of the owners to have a 10b the longest here. I bought mine in the early 80's. Like Richard, I have LOTS of info I've picked up over the years, and from what I've read, (between the lines and otherwise), the IF alignment is independent of tube changes and normal aging. Some information from one of the designers say to NOT change the if's, they had special custom-built equipment to align them, and it was done in an oven, after they were warmed up. He relented in an interview with Mike Z though, and said it *might* be alright to adjust for tilt of the passband, IF you have the proper test equipment! Personally, I would (and have) left them alone. Mine works great, and sounds fantastic, but I want Richards rack-mount unit, not that I am greedy! LOL.
