I probably should have said that the adjustments are normally secured with a drop of sealant. Mine are that way.

I cannot speak for Dick Sequerra, of course, but calling something a "transistorized" versiion of something designed as an all tube unit, sort of leaves a huge gap, doesn't it?

We all saw what happened when Marantz introduced their Model 7-T preamp. Not even a close second to the original tube preamp in my opinion.
