Speakers for nearfield

I need a pair of speakers to hook up with my vintage Mcintosh receiver, 75wpc, for nearfield listening, sometimes as close as one or two feet. I will be listening to AM as well as FM so clarity with talk as well as music is important. Thank you in advance for suggestions.
