MD FT-101 in for service..

..sending my FT-101 in for service today. It's becoming harder and harder to lock on to distant stations. Bought it new about 20 years ago and it's never needed serviced before.

I would like to ask other MD owners if there is anything other than a simple servicing that maybe I should request? (Not sure I can justify the $300 cost of upgrading to MD90).
