Look at a map draw a line / lines? to NY and Philly, and look at your house and block plan drawings which should have North marked on them. You may be lucky, and find that one diagonal is damned close.
I've sent you the rhombic article, separately. You will note that you can spread two coincident rhombics making the capture angle a good bit wider.
And I'm sure someone would help you pin a twin-lead / TV ribbon item UP on the ceiling of the basement. BUT you might be able to persuade Barb to let you put it/or more on the ceiling of a ground-floor room or two. 2nd storey?
If this is a BIG and suitable room then chances are you'll get better performance than even a LONG beam like an APS13! ????? Yes, as the lenght of each eqaul length side moves out past a wavelength of a given station's
frequency the gain goes up and up.
And, they're easy to hide!
You also have several reasonably-close-by audio buddies to help, climb step ladders, etc.
