Sorry about bursting in here, but my tuner keeps "eyeing" me!

Every time I walk into the garage where the beer fridge is, I see my two unused tuners staring at me...they sit atop of the beer fridge.

Reception in this end of the Cumberland Valley is abysmal. When I used an antenna years ago I needed to orient it either to the south for Baltimore and Washington or to the east for Philadelphia (and sometimes when I was lucky, even New York).

I figure there's not too much else I can do unless I want to put up a lightning rod except to use a "bar" directional antenna mounted at the ceiling level of the basement where my listening room is. Do any of you have a recommendation for an antenna for my Denon or my Heathkit? Both sounded pretty damned good years ago, but the rest of my system has been upgraded far beyond what I owned when I last used either of them.
