Get a great antenna. My recommendation would be an APS-13 ($200) from antennaperformance.com

According to the folks in the HD Radio section of the AVS Forum, the Sangean HDT-1 out performs the best vintage tuners ever made (for analog reception, it'll also tune in HD Radio and RDS, plus... it's only $200. (you'll want to wait until June when the HDT-1X comes out, it'll be even better).
