Can't address the mental state.... kidding! I'd sure keep them both if possible. The 78 is a wonderful tuner and I think anything the two Sansui's you mention can do or not compared to the 78 will be little tradeoffs. Now if you were talking the X1 or something like that I could see it. Just so you know where I'm coming from... I have 2 9900's and have perviewed the 919 and 78. The MR78 is pretty much out of my range so likely will never acquire one for myself.
