Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

OK so for the past 27 years or so I have listened to a station out of D.C.
great source of blues and many other styles of music but I am blues its in my blood. That said, they annouced Saturday that they are moving to a new station and it will be digital. Now I know nothing but I listen to analog in that I listen to old LPs, a vintage tube amps and vintage mono tuner. What can I expect? Compressed music? It has me all shook up it is a sell supported radio station DJ's dont get paid, everything is spinnin old lps of the blues then they more on to Jazz and other formats. Any help appreciated.
