I read the manual and there is some RF FET transistor that maybe is biased wrong and has a tendency to burn out!! Details, details. Oh, and the Logic Module that one cannot see inside of.
Then there are Japanese receivers that are still going strong after 45 years.
Mine still works because I don't use it much. I may even get another five years out of it!
