I am using one of the black square digital antenna whose spec included going down to channel 2. I looked at a number of this format and most do not have a special that goes low enough to work in the FM range. I bought it to test the area for OTA television. In the end I used another antenna and used the digital in place of a ribbon in my living room headphone system that uses a Sony STR6045. This particular antenna without the accessory preamp is showing stronger signal reception and yielding less noise so, at those times it has replaced the ribbon filed dipole.
I think the key is to make sure the spec includes going down to channel 2.
