Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

First, does it work? Does it hum? I'd start with that large filter cap.I'd also stay closer than you proposed in value. I find little problems with the smaller caps but test their value and replace them if you want or they are bad. Read the link below, lots of good info.
