I am sitting here listening to my first (on board) MPX stereo Sherwood (vacuum tube) tuner... and it is just dandy on the Duplexes. Just dandy.
A $25 acquisition at the semi-annual NEARC antique radio swapmeet in October... decent enough cosmetically; I was stunned by how well it is working 'as found'.
Listening to a 'roots' music program on VT public radio called "All the Traditions" (a usual Sunday evening activity lately). Tonight they had a live-in-studio performance and interview with an area guitarist, Paul Asbell and it was quite nice.
The Sherwoods really are fine sounding tuners. Yeah, I knew that already... but this is my first time to hear one in Stereo (without an add-on MPX decoder). Everyone should have one ;-)
all the best,
mrh
