I paid for 1650 for mine five years ago from a friend that got it got 1300 on a local sale..I have never seen one for 300 other than a 310D that went for 326.
I do know the market fluctuates a lot tho..Marantz 10b tuners brought three and four grand and now they have dropped dramatically..I think in the case of the 10b tho,the market is flooded with them and it has a lot of issues that most techs don't know how to solve.That has hurt it's market price quite a bit..OTOH,you can't find 4310s,they just aren't out there.
