Hello tuner guys & gals,
I have a Scott 310-E that I use with a 300 ohm ribbon antenna. My favorite stations come in with readings of just over "7" on the tuning meter, (meter range is between 0-10).
My question is, if I'm nailing a 7 on the needle, would this be considered a good level of reception? The end result, the music, sounds really nice but I have always wondered if a value of "10" if that's even possible would sound better?
Thanks,

- 10 is a LOT better than 7, but even better would be with a directional antenna with gain - Timbo in Oz 17:01:10 10/02/13 (3)

- I think you are equating gain from a mast-head RF amplifier - Timbo in Oz 20:16:39 10/02/13 (1)
