I agree with as FM car radios became more commonplace, FM started to take off but it was eally in the early '60s that FM reception became available and by the mid '60s every carmaker was offering FM radios as an option. By about '65 we who serviced car radios were seeing about 50-50 repair ration of am and am/fm radios so I'd pick about 65-66 as probably the years.
