Hi,But why that much problem when a simple 805 P-P (B2) with 1500V on anode and -16V on grid (Rdc for the cathode Xformer 190 ohm) will give about 350W into a "reasonable" 8k transformer… At less then 2% distortion (peaks at 1.5% at about 25W and then keeps lower figures up to 300W)
Swinging the req. 280volts would be possible with a EL34 at 450V driving a 4k to 1k + 1k, and the cathode impendance on the 805 ought to be something like 4k5…It all sounds so easy when one don't intend to build it oneself :-)
