I have read thru most all the posts and it seems like we have not yet got a working prototype for say a 2a3 or 26. Using a 240 volt on 120 would help on the step down but wire size on primary is in question? Also how many turns can you play with and still have it work.
So here are some more things that I was thinking about.
1. The spec sheets want a minimum of 20 to 30 watts for a 60 watt unit. 2a3 is 6.25 watts and 26 is 1.58 watts. When you remove or add windings does the min requirement change?
2. Seeing that we are modifying these for our use if the primary winding are to small for 60 watts max out of 240v unit if you are only pulling 6.25 it would reduced the size requirement.
3. Is there any way to drop the min requirements with some component changes so as not having to create a heater to get the load we need?
Thanks Tom
