I was lucky to get about 20 tubes of various brands (GE, Raytheon, Westinghouse, Motorola, Amperex, and RCA) for a very low sum of money. I do not have any personal experience as to which are best but ebay seems to show that RCA blackplates command the most $. Sorry I can't make a recommendation yet and I suspect that even if I were to roll tubes after I refurb the amp I doubt after turning off, replacing tubes, then turning back on I could really tell a difference. I guess my ears aren't as good as others.
