DAK is talking about heaters.
Only DHT have filaments and use filament transformers.
Indirect heated tubes have heaters and use heater transformers.
With a indirect heated tube the AC from the heater transformer can bleed into the audio by conducting to the cathode.
If you float the heater voltage up by placing some of the B+ on the CT of the secondary of the heater transformer, the heater is at a higher potential than the cathode so the heater can not conduct to the cathode.
That keeps the heater AC off the cathode where the music is. So you don't get AC hum on your music (heater conducting to the cathode) but you might get a little music on your heater (cathode conducting to your heater).
