Build your own. The modded Cary will be worth very little compared to a working untouched unit. After all, people often mod without a clue about electronics, like dropping any old octal into an octal socket.
To reiterate someone else's problem with what you want, removing the output caps puts the plate voltage on the output or if a cathode follower, the cathode voltage on the output. This would suggest that your modding will dramatically decrease the value of the preamp.
