The 6CG7 is a nice tube. However, as other posters have stated, you have heater to cathode potential limit worries. Compared to the IRFBC20 MOSFET, the 6CG7 is a wimp. The FET has no heater/cathode potential limit and exhibits drive capability out of Hell. "Lift" the DC coupled source follower from the preamp schematic I've uploaded.
