RE: damper diode heaters

I think 30 second conduction time is waaaay optimistic. The only ones I have seen that will take this long to warm up are the Hy-G-300 line from Bendix( ex the 6754 ). none of the TV dampers took more than 15 seconds to begin conduction. They were better than the 10-12 seconds it takes an f32 GZ34 to come on though...:)

I select/grade these by heater current load; the higher the heater power the more efficient the diode in most cases. types like 6DN3 are quite good.
