The reverse transfer capacitance (Crss) of the IRFBC20 is low and stable, which makes for GOOD performance as a voltage follower.
FWIW, more than 1 person has found protective Zener diodes from gate to source is highly indicated, when working with MOSFET types that lack built in gate to source protection.
