RE: Dynaco ST-35 kit - has ANYONE tried this

You might find reading about the K&K Audio ST-70 kit useful. Use the link below and scroll down to the bottom of the page. The output stage is configured as PP differential with a CCS tail impedance, so the output is restricted to class A. This limits the output power to 12-14W. This might be a little low for your 89dB speakers. Still, worth looking at.

My mono-blocks use this output stage topology (4 KT-120s, PPP) and they sound so much cleaner than any AB1 amp that I have ever heard.
