RE: G2 regulator for SE EL84 amp

Hi Alex, what I meant by statement was that when I use the zener to set the G2 voltage, I can hear a little hardness in the sound quality. I notice that after about a half hour my ears start to ache a little. This character is not with the rh84 with a resistor used to drop the G2 voltage. So, even if the noise is many hertz above the human hearing range it still can be sensed. It would be nice to have a similar device to the zener that has a lower noise floor. I have used zeners as you show in your schematics and they do work extremely well in setting the G2 voltage. It is a very simple and effective way to set the voltage. I will not argue with you about that. Regards, Dak
