The speaker will not be firing upward into a 360 degree dispersion cone after the changes, it will be a front facing normal speaker placement. That ought to help some. I have also looked up the recommended volume for the 8T series and it is close to what the cabinet is, but I may have to change it some. I have refoamed quite a few speakers over the years so that will be ok.
As to not improving on it, not sure I agree with you because the main problem they had was it being a dispersion speaker I think.
My main question was if anyone had tried putting the T-2 in a cabinet or open baffle and how it turned out.
Not too worried about chopping up the cabinet because it has had a very rough life and is not in great shape to begin with. I may go ahead and re-install the speakers as original after I refoam them and see how they sound before I start any mods though.
Yes lots of stuff about Aquarius, but not much about using the T-2 in open baffles or small ducted ports.
