Since you are following a well-developed design, I say stick with it. You can try a different design later if you want to know the difference. If you must change the design to something new, you should not call it by its original name - it is not the same and won't sound the same. The power supply is important; changing it changes the amplifier.
In my humble opinion, the power supply variations that occupy 90% of the space on this forum are the obsession of a very few people who post frequently - they are NOT the consensus of experienced designers. The low DCR designs are talked of in the context of a specific SET design which is very different from widespread practice, and thus very different from the Morrison design. Those power supply designs may have some utility in the context of those SETs, but are much closer to irrelevance with accepted SET design practice - such as the Morrison.
