RE: Need help with corner frequency calculations.

You usually want a high pass pole to be at least 2 octaves away from the lowest freq. of interest. For 15 Hz., you need a 1.5 μF. part, which combines with 33 Kohms to "corner" at 3.22 Hz.

Especially if phono is used as a source, I would place the I/P high pass pole in between 16 and 18 Hz., to reject infrasonic noise, like that generated by record warps. In a "typical" SS amp, O/P trafo core saturation is not a concern, but power wasting noise should not be amplified.
