Oh,wow, were both thermionic:)
I would send the choke back then ask for a choke with specific
parameters, per Dave's suggestions. Heneries, DCR and a true center tap.
The guys at Heyboer are good people and will work with you. As you said
there may have been some wrong information or just some miscommunication
somewhere along the line.
