I leave it to the EE's to tell me whether I am crazy to say this, but my unscientific subjective impression over the years is that a FWBR built from discrete high quality diodes sounds a bit superior to any ready-made full wave bridge rectifier, with the qualification that I have never tried a Schottky all in one FWBR, because they are very costly.
