Is the paper wrapped bronze painted transformers just a temporory thing used during the build, to prevent "iron and paint abrasions " when you turn her upside down? I do that too...helps.
What are the details of your VOT's?
Consider moving the RCA input jacks away from their present location, ( near "iron" and far away from use-point ) TO : within two inches of the grid of the input tube !!
I always use two runs of soft annealed solid silver 19 AWG, for that RCA jack - input grid run . These days, I have two audio friends running Type 46s, on high efficiency speakers.
