RE: How about the 6BQ7A ?.............................

Sorry, I should have been clear about that. I often use tube types listed with different filament voltages to test a tube with unpublished or unknown specs. The filament selector has to be set for the appropriate voltage when the substituti0n is made. Maybe the 6BQ7 is a closer match, I don't know. I didn't find that info at the time.
