You can also buy laboratory grade HV power supplies on eBay for low dollars. Lambda, BioRad, Pharmacia, etc, are good brands. I've got a Pharmacia. It won't power 6.3V filaments, like Tre's, but it's fine for tube circuits that don't require a lot of current.
