Jeff, correct, not a Khorn, need to drive A2 every once in a while.
Not sure it can be done with a 7788
Tre, sorry, that was some stray wiring (another bias scheme) from another circuit I was playing around with.
Attached revised with cathode bias, Im getting about 28 watts from this and doesnt seem to be driving the grid positive.
