Even the fragile screen grid can be dealt with, when UL mode is desired. Buy O/P transformers with separate screen grid windings. Yes, such "iron" is costly, but the performance obtained justifies the expense. The benefits of regulated g2 B+, when pentode mode is employed, are well known. The same benefits are obtained from a UL mode setup, when separate screen grid winding O/P transformers are employed.
