No, it's not. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of references to power pentode and beam power distortion in engineering texts. I've heard it and I've measured it. It's the reason all pentode-output hi-fi amplifiers require large amounts of NFB. Really, this is not a point I'm interested in discussing.
