RE: Question about Pentodes

Pentodes and beam tetrodes DO NOT generate distortion, and particularly not IM distortion, "per se". Circuitry using active elements might generate more or less distortion, and IM distortion, depending on the design and task performed.

You are generalizing and taking things literally. Neither are small signal pentodes "among the most linear" devices, nor is linearity (sic!) the Holy Grail in audio.

You should not believe everything you read, and you should read more carefully. Besides the fact that a lot of what you can find is mere marketing ploy, there is also reasonable chance that you misunderstood what you read.

Thus there is no answer to your question, since the question is incorrectly formulated.

Would you care to share the source of such misinformation (a link would be just fine)?
