RE: Do you know of PCB shops that will accept autocad file as source?

I have been down this road.

I would suggest spending 50 euro on sprint-layout.

it has full gerber capabilities and gives you the option to shop your boards around. The really cool feature is you can import an image and copy it. The UI is done for the layman and if you can figure out cad and spice... this one is a breeze.
