RE: IEC 60651 standard weighting filters : A,B,C or none?

Those weightings are typically applied when making sound level measurements. "A" is a common one because it approximates human hearing response. I'd think you'd want no filter or a "linear" response for almost any meas of an amp or other device unless you're doing something very special.
