I'd look at the LL1692,they should yield more inductance with your application. I used these on my 50 monos...I found the LL1692As better matched for the application.

You will probably get different results using the coupling cap...if you're looking for the IT sound. The grid choke does work well...it's just that loading a high transconductance triode with an inductor produces some outstanding results when implemented correctly.
