If possible, would you please try operating the 2A3 at 60ma at both 2.5K and 5K load, and tell us what you measure? And while you're at it, try
starving the filament a little (say, 2VAC), in both scenarios, and measure that performance. And one more: try 300V across the 2A3 biased at 50ma into both loads, and measure that too.
