Yeah, other instances where silver is used is in high current RF situations tank circuits and low radiation resistance antennas to avoid IsqrR losses.

I don't have any science for ya on silver wire, sorry. I believe that there might be advanced studies relevant to some of these questions in solid state physics research.

What I can recommend is TRY IT, Don't depend on reading and going by what you think you already know.

Maybe you will hear something that will raise your curiosity level. Control for reliable results however you feel you have to. Do experiments!

Identifying what appear to be gaps or discrepancy in theory is what drives the growth of knowledge.

I did this on numerous occasions and I must reluctantly conclude that some silver wire makes what I consider to be positive improvements in some situations.

Theory often lags practice --->Especially at the level working stiff EEs like you and semi-hobbyists such as myself operate.

Talk to some knowledgeable and up to date research specialists in the field of electronics materials and we might learn something.
