Hey Paul Joppa ...

I guess you'd be a good person to ask. I recently purchased a Stereomour. The next batch of power transformers won't be available for another two weeks or so. In the interim I've been pondering upgrades to the two coupling caps. I'm considering Mundorf Silver-Oil, Jensen (obviously), Jupiter and a few others. But what do you like in this circuit? I want something that's going to flatter poor recordings and have great, full tone for orchestral.

I correponded with Jac about the reliability issues with *all* oil caps in coupling positions. So optimally perhaps I should stick with poly film / metallized poly.

About the only cap I can find to replace the 10 mF Solen without resorting to a crazy mounting scheme is an Obbligato Gold. The 0.1 mF is wide open. I ordered Mundorf silver-oil but I'm still worried they'll be bright.
