I only use well filtered power supplies with good regulation and a fast current rise upon demand. I do not want any noise mixing with the audio signal creating unwanted IMD products resulting in an overall higher THD no matter how small that increased value. I do suppport low DCR though.
I can make use of shunt regulated power supplies that will perform very tight regulation under any current demand from the amplifier. However, a low DCR PS with a LCLC filter to the power tube & additional LC upstream for the driver & preamp if more than two stage sounds as good as shunt regulated per my findings.
