RE: Thorsten’s LCR RIAA – subtitled: “Boy, do I feel dumb”…

Just remembered that mine has a choke(100H) on the plate with a 3.6K resistor in series of the D3a. In the original schematic Thorsten has a 25R resistor on the both the cathodes to ground. I noticed you tied the plate to G3 with a 50R resistor. Necessary?

The attached picture of the preamp circuit shows what I did. My power supply is the same without the use of CCS's and VR tubes(area in the boxed off section).

The original circuit also used 25R resistors to ground from the cathode.

The first circuit is the original with the modified power supply. I did use CMC's on the filament but I used a much smaller one for each tube.

I noticed you have G3 of the E810F going to the cathode through a 50R resistor. Again! Necessary?

If you look at the original schematic Thorsten has a 616R resitor going to the plate(anode) of the first tube. I remember him saying that it is important to keep that value as stated and I noticed you have a 620R.I know the difference is only 4R but he did say it was improtant to keep the original values as it sets up for the LCR RIAA to be correct.
